Historical
During the 13th century, Liverpool was a small community which made its living through commercial fishing and agricultural production. It wasn't until the Black Plague hit London a few centuries later that liverpool began to industrialize and the production of coal, salt and glassmaking began to grow. In 1715, in response to increased trade, the first wet dock was constructed in Liverpool. A rental car can take you to Edge Hill, a unique attraction built around 1820, which is comprised of underground tunnels and caverns as well as dwellings built underground. You can also take a walk through The Church of All Saints, which is the only remaining medieval church in Liverpool.
